Elevated Marinate Social Media Winner! @pastrypants @elevated_fork!
Last but not least we’d like to give a major thank you to our Elevated Marinate social media winner, Stacy Primack of @pastrypants and @elevated_fork. Stacy had an incredible social media response to her participation in our recipe competition and for good reason! Go have a look for yourself. Her feeds are completely choc full of gorgeous and delicious bites and her followers can always expect to be inspired to step into the kitchen.
For the elevated marinate, Stacy created 2 gorgeous and creative recipes using Müru CBD elixir. As we are working our way down the list in our own kitchen today we decided to start by sipping on her Red Velvet Hot chocolate! Believe me….it is raining like crazy outside, but we are warrrrrm on the inside!
Next in line we will be trying our hand at Stacy’s Pumpkin pumpernickel chocolate chip Loaf. I can’t imagine ours will be nearly as beautiful as hers. But hopefully it will be as yummy!
Here are her recipes!
Red Velvet Hot Chocolate!
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 vanilla bean, split down the middle and scraped or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. Müru cbd elixir
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup honey
4 ounces 72% dark chocolate chips or broken up into pieces from a bar
1 1/2 tsp. red food coloring
1 1/2 tsp. cocoa powder
1 T. vanilla pudding mix
Heat milk, cream, vanilla bean seeds from the pod (or vanilla extract), Müru, salt, and honey into a small sauce pot and bring to a scald over medium-high heat. Whisk this mixture, and add in the chocolate, red food coloring, cocoa powder, and pudding mix. Whisk until there are no lumps, and it's frothy. Pour into two cups. Pumpernickel Pumpkin 🎃 Chocolate Chip Loaf Recipe (green cannabis shaped cake insert separate)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Rye flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
pinch nutmeg, grated fresh
1 c. organic pumpkin puree
1 c. granulated sugar or palm sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 1/2 tsp. Muru CBD elixir (50 mg total in recipe)
1 T. butter, unsalted (soft)
2 eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 T. all-purpose flour
Pre-heat oven to 325F. In one bowl, sift all dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whisk wet ingredients until very smooth, almost starting to emulsify. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, mixing until incorporated, and without any lumps, scraping down with your rubber spatula to the very bottom of the bowl. Toss the chocolate chips in a separate bowl with the tablespoon of flour to coat the chips. (this helps to not lose chips in the bottom of the bowl). Add in chocolate chips, folding all the way through to evenly incorporate. Split between disposable loaf pans (pre-sprayed with non-stick cooking spray) or cupcake pan than has been lined with cupcake liners, filling halfway. Bake until set, depending on the size of your vessel.(approx 20 min or more) Do NOT open oven until the tops are no longer shiny, otherwise your cakes may fall. Remove from oven and let cool.
